Originally from northern New Hampshire, Trevor is a Burke Mountain Academy and Dartmouth College graduate. Last year he returned to Burke to serve as an athlete-coach, coaching the FIS level men and competing on the Nor-AM circuit. At one point in his racing career, he was ranked in the top 40 in all disciplines in the US, including 25th in GS and 24th in DH.
Using a circuit, each group worked on a myriad of exercises including dyna disc squats, single leg med ball throws, single leg jumps, squat cone drills, and many other things to get them off balance. I knew it was a good session when I asked the group what their favorite station was and all six were named right off the bat. The really cool thing about what we did this morning was that every piece of equipment we used this morning was inexpensive and the kids could all have their own at home to continue these exercises. The dyna disc was a favorite, and here is where I picked mine up for Colby http://www.power-systems.com/p-2411-versadisc-pro.aspx but they are as low as $22 on amazon.
Great morning, now back to the skate park this afternoon.
