Alternate Sesssion - Waterbury State Park

The Waterbury State Park is a great place to take the campers to enjoy some fun in the same and swimming in water that isn't quite as frigid. The park offers an awesome sandy beach with a large area of shallow water for the campers to enjoy. Danny started a huge game of keep away with the soccer ball which lasted a while.

Next on the agenda was a sand castle contest, breaking into teams, they worked as a team to construct the best sand castle, using no other tools but their imagination and hands. It was great to see how the campers have come together as a group and are able to respect each others thoughts and ideas, and put them into production.

We finished up the session with another slip and slide. It was such a hit the other night we figured that we would give it another shot. The park had the perfect spot for it, and plenty of water to use and clean off with. They enjoyed about 30 minutes of slipping and sliding, and then cleaned off in the lake before changing up and heading back to the RH for dinner.

Chrissy has a really exciting night session planned tonight. I will let her fill you all in on what goes down. Danny and I are really excited with how this week has been, for the majority of the group that attended week 1 the campers are getting a very good balance of instructional and education sessions with the time to recover, play, and have fun.

Thanks to you all for checking in.
