An Alternate Evening

We had originally planned to explore the Percy Farm corn maze tonight, however the corn has not grown to height due to the excessively wet soil conditions. The alternative proved to be an equally fun event.

The kids were brought down to the field in swimsuits  unknowing of the activity to come. Led to the river as a distraction with a team building activity to bring a pail of water back without letting anyones hand disconnect from the bucket. They found themselves pleasantly surprised by a 100ft homemade slip and slide. The winners of the team building activity got first slides and everyone else followed with smiles and suds galore.

The slippery sliding was a blast and lasted until the sun was setting behind the mountains and half of the campers rose to the challenge of one last dunk in the river before returning to the Round Hearth for hot showers and time to unwind before bed.  It was a very exciting and cleansing end to a great day of skating and mountain biking.
