Last night, the Stowe Dryland Camp held their first scavenger hunt! The teams were given a list of things to find, perform and take pictures of on the rec path. Each team had an hour and a half to complete the list given to them. Everyone hopped on their bikes and sped around the rec path in search for people, bumper stickers, corn and certain cars. Some also had to jump in the water with their bike helmets on! Along with tasks on the list, each team had to complete the "Spider Web" in Top Notch field. The Spider Web is a team initiative, low ropes course element. Each member of your team must go through the spider web holes, without touching the webbing.
The teams came back pretty wet from the rain, but with lots of smiles.Afterwards, we were able to use the inside fireplace to dry off campers, and cook SMores.
This morning, the older kids will perform a aerobic capacity test (Miller Test), while the younger group will cheer them on. For this morning's instructional, we will be joined by Jamie Kingsbury, head U16 women's coach at Stratton Mountain School. We will be working on explosiveness as our last morning instructional. Check in later today for updates! Have an awesome day.
